There was a wind outside that made the air bitter cold. But I wasn't going to miss the Flexform 2nd Anniversary party. This years eclectic gathering was sponsored by the esteemed Architectural Digest magazine.
Flexform is known for great parties and this gathering did not disappoint. Amir Kazerani, Managing Director of Flexform New York masterminded all the details for this years event. There was a wine tasting with Marika Vida (wine director at Ritz Carlton), party tunes from dance club DJ Zenon Marko, a delicious signature drink and yummy tray pass appetizers from NY Tastings (crab cakes, mini sandwiches, etc).
The party was modern and inventive just like the beautiful furniture and accessories sold at Flexform. The East 56th street location features work of architect Antonio Citterio who has designed collections of small armchairs and accessories but also a variety of large sofas and wonderful lounge chairs. Other design contributions come from Guilio Manzoni, Paolo Nava and Guido Rosati.
The owner of Flexform, Jose Levy resides part time in Mexico. His furniture collections are manufactured in Italy and sold all over the world. The company has established itself as an international force for residential and contract design.
“The home is always a aesthetic gesture so the objects that constitute it reflect the image of those who choose them, they are like self-portraits" says Mr. Levy. I had the pleasure generating some of my own portraits at this fetching gathering. Thank you Flexform for the stellar evening.
