About 60+ design professionals headed out to Long Island City for the DIFFA event at the BOLON flooring studio/showroom.  The festive party was hosted by Interior Design Magazine's Editor in Chief, Cindy Allen and her friendly team.  We had a good time cutting the rug (so to speak) at this 6-10pm groovy gathering.  There are many March events scheduled in NYC and Wednesday night showed no exceptions.  The Armory's annual opening event, the new "The Unfair" art exhibit and the "I am Dandy" book signing at F.I.T. were all on my calendar.

I chose the BOLON party because it was an easy, breezy journey across the bridge to Long Island City. Just like the instructions read on the EventBrite invitation, the  BOLON Studio was only 2 blocks from the subway station.  The invite also offered coupon for UBER car transportation as a travel option.   I adore party invitations that suggest options and directions to make your journey convenient.

BOLON is an exciting international FLOORING design brand. They have collaborated with well known designers, architects and brands like Jean Nouvel, Tom Dixon, Cappellini, Giorgio Armani and Missoni. BOLON product is currently used as flooring, wall covering, ceiling covering and even upholstery on some of their exciting new projects. All designs are durable and suitable for commercial demands.

BOLON's party blended forces with DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS and Interior Design Magazine for a fun studio viewing of their various products and a welcome for joining DIFFA's "Specify with Care" program.

The mission of the DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS is to raise funds and grant those funds to organizations which fight HIV/AIDS.  Interior Design Magazine is one of my favorite international trade resources and has been a design authority since 1932. Party goers enjoyed the fully stocked open bar, scrumptious tray pass appetizers (I'll have another spicy shrimp please) and cool modern rock tunes humming in the background of the 4000+ sq ft space.

Lots of conversation and great connections at this cleverly cool event. Thank you BOLON, DIFFA and Interior Design Magazine for the L.I.C. - P A R T E E.
