On April 24th -  Housing Works will celebrate the 10th anniversary of New York City’s most popular interior design benefit. Design on a Dime takes place at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea. The 3-day event features more than 50 of the world’s top interior designers, who create unforgettable room vignettes with new (donated) merchandise and then sold for 50 to 70 percent off retail pricing!

5:30 begins the ticketed VIP Opening Night Reception

Just in case you didn't know . . .  . . On April 23rd, the eve of the premier shopping fundraiser, Design on a Dime is hosting its second annual Groundbreaker Awards Dinner. The festive evening will bring together Housing Works’ closest friends and supporters from around the city to honor outstanding individuals who have made a significant contribution to, and an impact on, the fight to end HIV/AIDS and homelessness.

Based in Charleston, where design styles tend to slant towards the traditional, Angie Hranowsky high-impact rooms manage to evoke both glamour and ease. She has garnered an impressive roster of both residential and commercial clients for her confident use of color, affinity for modern design and decidedly casual vibe. 



Quintessential all-American designer Barclay Butera has been creating luxury lifestyle-inspired interiors for his legion of fans for years. Since 1994, he has been the creative force behind his iconic design firm opening his flagship showroom in Newport Beach, California. 


Megan Winters is chic. Megan Winters is explosive. Megan Winters is an amazing talent and the most vivacious and dynamic designer in the Midwest today.


Sam Allen is the owner of Sam Allen Interiors, an interior design firm located in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Sam’s style is clean and comfortable and encompasses themes all the way from Organic Elegance to Parisian Hollywood Glamour. 


Miami based designer Wade Hallock is known for his strength in combining textures, colors, and styles. Not one who is particularly drawn to any period, he places more emphasis on the quality of design and the overall harmonious aesthetic:
