I love a good party and John Rosselli on East 61st presented a damn good event.

More than 90 design sophisticates gathered for a book signing for Furlow Gatewood.  I spied Bunny Williams, Jeffrey Bilhuber, Michael McGraw, Lemeau and the Vaughan Showroom ladies (sounds like a sultry singing group).

"I don't care what some say about publishing and books - give me a good coffee table book and I will put down my ipad immediately". Long live PRINT. Obviously, the design world agrees,"One Man's Folly" sold for $60 and sold out at the party.

When it comes to interiors style, antiques, and Southern vernacular architecture, Furlow Gatewood is a one-of-a-kind classic- - - this book presents his magical private enclave for the first time. Antiques expert Furlow Gatewood's highly personal property in bucolic Americus, Georgia, where he has meticulously restored his family's carriage house and added intimate dwellings and outbuildings . . . . several rescued from demolition-has evolved over decades to become a sublime expression of stylish living.  The book is a southern delight.

There was a limited but generous open bar, black tied waiters and scrumptious nibble stations everywhere. Inspirational conversation and gossipy chatter filled the stylishly appointed showroom.  Thank you John Rosselli Inc. and 90+ year old Furlow Gatewood for your chic and sophisticated gathering.

Curiosity is one of the great secrets of happiness

Over fifty years ago, John Rosselli opened his first antiques shop in New York City. He quickly created a destination for interior designers and architects who came to rely on John's sophisticated eye and the shop's ever changing inventory of antiques
and furnishings (both new and classic).
