There was a cold, piercing wind rushing through my winter coat as we dashed into the elegant jewelry boutique from the Fifth Avenue sidewalk. The frigid temperature was not going to prevent us from celebrating at the book launch event hosted by Brazilian Jeweler H.Stern and Luxury Publisher Assouline.
H.Stern the book is a partnership with Assouline and highlights H.Stern’s 70 year history, specifically under the current creative direction of Roberto Stern. The publication features notable collaborations and jewelry collections inspired by the worlds of art, architecture and culture. The US flagship boutique is a must see for architectural and design enthusiasts. The new look highlights key elements of H.Stern’s roots and brand identity – such as the understated luxury found in both metal textures and organic shapes.
H.STERN Architectural Digest
The 2100 sq. ft. space was designed by Studio Arthur Casas and reflects the brand’s Brazilian heritage while flattering Fifth Avenue with unadulterated bling. The experience is an intimate exploration for customers within an understated yet luxurious aesthetic. "The architecture complements the delicate craft of the jewelry by creating an atmosphere that reflects the inside of a jewelry box" mentioned Roberto Stern to Architectural Digest.
On party night - the fashion show of winter coats was as entertaining as the choreographed waiters with their hors d'oeuvres and champagne. Neither were of interest to the dozens of women contemplating major jewelry investments - turning the fab space into the little shop of scorers.
